SUBSTANCE: device comprises the loading and unloading trays, the bath with liquid and a drive perforated drum mounted in it. The drum is made on the perimeter in the form of multi-start helical surface with helical grooves inside and outside the perforated drum at an angle to its axis of rotation in the form of pockets of curved shape with the centres of curvature of the pockets of curved shape, located alternately outside and inside the cross section of the drum. The drum is mounted of at least one perforated strip wound in cylindrical windings connected with each other along the longitudinal edges, of equal width, bent wavelike along the fold lines located at an angle to its longitudinal edges to form along the outer and inner surfaces in one direction under angle to the axis of rotation of the perforated drum of helical surfaces in the form of pockets on curved shape on the outer and inner surfaces. The pockets may be different not only in shape but also in size. And the distance between the fold lines is equal to the sum of the lengths of the perimeters of the geometric shapes of the pockets of the inner and outer surfaces.

EFFECT: use of invention enables to increase the intensity and quality of washing tuberous roots.
