FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: method is implemented by means of several additional receiving channels (ARC), the antennas of which are located in an antenna curtain of the main channel so that their phase centres do not coincide between themselves as to an angle of a place; besides, levels of the main ADP lobes of ARC are established below the level of the main ADP lobe of the main channel at least by k1 times, and above the level of maximum ADP side lobe of this channel at least by k2 times, where k1 and k2 - specified values determined with allowable losses in target detection. During a surveillance process, ADP zones of additional receiving channels control so that at any azimuth and elevation position of the main ADP lobe of the main channel in surveillance zone (SZ) the main ADP lobes of ARC can cover as to angle of the place the specified SZ zone in the whole operating range of radar station as to distance, and as to azimuth - SZ zone including position as to azimuth of the main ADP lobe of the main channel. For each increment as to distance, there measured are levels of signals at the output of the main and each of additional receiving channels, and performance of the specified criterion of availability of passive jamming is checked. If this criterion is performed at least for one of ARC, then, a decision is taken on the fact that a signal at the output of the main channel is passive jamming.

EFFECT: increase of suppression of passive jamming.
