FIELD: radar.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar and can be used in mobile surveillance radar stations (RLS) for protection from passive interference during inspection of field of view. Technical result is achieved due to that in method of protecting radar station from passive interference of reflected signals received in each discrete range exceeding detection threshold in single discrete on ranges not exceeding threshold, is considered to be passive interference, threshold range is range closer to which signal from a target with minimum specified effective scattering area exceeds threshold of detection in a single discrete range with a probability of no more than a given sufficiently small value.
EFFECT: technical result consists in high protection of mobile surveillance radar station from passive interference at sufficiently low allowable probability of missing targets.
