FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises mechanical displacement of needle to upstream top position and fuel feed to under the needle and into injection bore at injection. Fuel feed if cut off at spring force and fuel pressure exceeding fuel pressure under needle and needle displacement to the seat, injection duration being varied. Proposed method allows performing of at least one pre-injection, at least one primary injection and at least one injection after the primary one. Besides, it covers the device for implementation of aforesaid process. This device comprises the following components: atomizer with spring-loaded needle and mechanical drive, displacement multiplexer, injection duration mechanical regulator, sprayer with one level of bores, high-pressure fuel pump, high-pressure hydraulic accumulator communicated with above- and below-needle chambers, low-pressure hydraulic accumulator, two mechanical valves arranged in atomizer and quick-action reversing mechanical drive.
EFFECT: better dynamics of fuel feed, higher indicated efficiency and controlled injection using simple mechanical means.
