FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in method and device for in-service inspection of direct-current motor heating and protection a temperature sensor is placed into a hollow threaded bolt, then it is screwed into the core of one of auxiliary poles of the motor, which are the most heat-stressed in the design of the direct-current motor, temperature of its windings is measured and control signal is received for its protection. The signal from the temperature sensor is converted to a digital signal and via a wireless communication channel formed by a miniature radio transmitter with an antenna the control signal is transmitted as a converted temperature value to the control system in order to monitor temperature of the motor windings and to take measures preventing motor overheating. Temperature sensor is connected to the signal converter coupled to the miniature radio transmitter with an antenna fed by the battery installed over the hollow threaded bolt.

EFFECT: simplifying and increasing accuracy of heating control and reliability of protection from overheating in working conditions.
