SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spectral imaging and can be used particularly in spectral computed tomography (CT). An imaging system comprises a detector array (110), which includes a scintillator array (202) which receives radiation and generates a representative light signal, and a digital photomultiplier array (204), optically coupled to the scintillator array (202) which receives the light signal and generates a representative digital signal, a processor (118) comprising a photon count channel (212), which processes the digital signal and generates a first output signal, an integrating channel (210) which processes the digital signal and generates a second output signal, and an instant generating channel (214) which processes the digital signal and generates a third output signal, said instant generating channel comprising a filter (218), a multiplier (220) and an integrator (222), and a reconstructor (122) which spectrally breaks down the first, second and third output signals.
EFFECT: high image quality.
