FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: heating of lateral sides of a spline is made by two tool electrodes for electromechanical treatment and its distribution is made by a deforming tool delivered from the top. The above tool electrodes are placed in one line and pressed to lateral sides of splines with efforts selected on condition of their shifting back to the wear rate at distributing. The tool electrodes and the deforming tool are moved with the same speed rate.
EFFECT: invention allows recovery of lateral surface wear for splines with their simultaneous hardening with hardness up to 9 hPa due to metal redistribution using electromechanical treatment.
