FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to quantum electronics. The laser system comprises a chassis on which first and second identical laser modules are mounted. Each module includes a metal housing having extended: gas stream generating system, pre-ioniser, first electrode situated on the side of the wall of the housing, second electrode. Ceramic containers are placed near the first electrode, each said container having capacitors connected to the second electrode through extended earthed gas-permeable current leads situated on both sides of the electrodes. A pulsed power supply has terminal leads which are low-inductively connected to the capacitors in each laser module through insulated current leads of the metal housing and current leads of each ceramic container.
EFFECT: high generation energy and average radiation power.
