FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Laser discharge system with partially translucent electrode comprises UV pre-ioniser arranged on back side of said electrode and composed of long ignition system of complete sliding electrode including metal substrate coated with dielectric ply with sliding discharge fired thereon between firing and main electrode connected with metal substrate. Note here that said dielectric ply is composed by either straight thin-wall pipe or long part of straight thin-wall pipe placed between two lengthwise sections of pipe, parallel with its axis. At least a portion of metal substrate surface facing the partially translucent electrode, convexes towards said partially translucent electrode and aligned with inner cylindrical ply of dielectric ply while firing electrode is fitted at convex cylindrical surface of dielectric pl and along therein.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and mean power, simplified design.
