Characterised conjugate contains capsular Staphylococcus aureus. Said conjugate contains capsular polysaccharide, conjugated with protein carrier Said polysaccharide represents polysaccharide of serotype 5 or serotype 8, has molecular weight between 70 kDa and 800 kDa and degree of O-acetylation between 75 and 100%. Methods of obtaining charactersed comjugate include covalent conjugation of capsular polysaccharides with protein carrier by chemical method with application of either 1,1-carbonyl-di-1,2,4-triazole (CDT) or 3-(2-pyridylthio)propionylhydraside (PDPH).
