SUBSTANCE: driving mechanism for a switch comprises a basic (10) and a front (11) plates, which set an inner space, including a working (2) and a driving (3) shafts installed coaxially on the longitudinal axis. The shaft (3) is functionally connected to a kinematic circuit of a switch for switching opening/closing operation. The shaft (2) comprises a head (20), connected to a control handle for manual actuation of the specified shaft. A spring unit (4) comprises a helical spring (41), the first end (411) of which is functionally connected to the shaft (2), and the second end (412) is functionally connected to the shaft (3). The spring (41) is loaded by means of rotation of the working shaft (2) and drives the shaft (3) during release. The shaft (2) is designed with a release facility (21), acting on the shaft (3) by means of manual rotation of the shaft (2). The spring unit (4) is designed with facilities (40) for control of preliminary load of the spring (41).
EFFECT: provision of proper functioning of a switch with increased friction forces between knives of contacts, not requiring an increase of the spring dimensions.
