SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the geodetic global positioning system, providing air based determination of geographical coordinates of conjugate image points from images of synthetic aperture radar (SAR). Meanwhile SAR-images are represented as Slant Range images, and the position of shooting of each SAR image is known. From coordinates of conjugate image points in SAR images and respective selector range impulses the distance between each resolution mesh on the ground surface and each position of shooting of the respective SAR image is determined respectively, and on the basis of particular distances and related positions of shooting of the SAR images using WGS84 ellipsoid the geographical coordinates of conjugate image points in the SAR images are determined.
EFFECT: improvement of precision of determination of coordinates.
