FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, and namely to a method of complex out-of-furnace treatment of liquid steel in a ladle with inert gases. Electric-arc heating of metal with slag is performed with three hollow electrodes installed in the centre of the ladle-furnace unit arch, blowing and mixing of metal is performed at its surface and at the bottom at the bottom surface with inert gases supplied through holes made in hollow electrodes and through the device to the ladle bottom respectively. In addition, blowing and mixing of metal with inert gases is performed in the centre of the ladle volume by means of a lined tuyere with a protective cone, which is fixed on the ladle housing and arranged opposite the device for supply of inert gas to the ladle bottom; with that, blowing of metal with inert gases through the lined tuyere with the protective cone is performed simultaneously or separately with blowing through holes made in hollow electrodes and the device at the ladle bottom.

EFFECT: invention provides for intense mixing of liquid metal with gas flows in three horizons of the ladle, which allows achieving higher homogenisation of the melt as to composition and temperature, intensifying degassing of metal and removing non-metallic inclusions from it, and cooling degree of liquid metal from inert gases blown into it is controlled by electric-arc heating of metal and slag, which allows sufficient improvement of quality of the obtained metal goods.
