METHOD FOR DETERMINING POTENTIALLY NON-RELIABLE ELEMENTS IN DIGITAL UNIT Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC G06F11/22

Abstract RU 2533095 C2

FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation and can be used to determine potentially non-reliable elements in a serviceable digital unit. The technical result consists in the fact that a printed circuit-board of a defective device (module, line replaceable unit (LRU), cell) with a minimum value of a serviceability area in a diagnosed digital unit is divided element-by-element into sections (zones), in each of which there is one of radioelements of the digital device. By means of a narrow-directed irradiator, each section is subsequently subject to programme-controllable action of microwave radiation; with that, at every irradiation of the device elements, to inputs of the diagnosed device included in the digital unit there supplied in the specified volume are pseudo-random multidischarge code sets consisting of logical zeroes and units with equal probability of occurrence of a logical zero or a logical unit in each discharge; with that, the specified volume of code sets is determined by the number of inputs of the diagnosed device and is calculated by means of a synthesis method of tests on a criterion of minimum length; output responses are compared to their reference levels; microwave radiation power value being a functioning threshold is recorded.

EFFECT: improvement of efficiency of technical diagnostics concerning determination of potentially non-reliable elements in digital units.
