FIELD: controlling and measuring equipment, possible use for determining location and nature of defect in inoperable digital block by special cascade method.

SUBSTANCE: in accordance to method for determining location and nature of flaw in digital block, control object is affected with test signal, control object response is performed and compared to standard. In analytical standard copy of digital block being diagnosed modeled in turns is defect, selected from a set of possible ones, while for each modeled defect in volume, calculated by means of determined directions method, pseudo-random multi-bit code sets are formed, and sent simultaneously to inputs of digital block being diagnosed and its analytical standard copy, responses at outputs are registered and compared, when response coincidence result appears, location and nature of defect are determined in digital block being diagnosed.

EFFECT: possible localization of flaw.
