FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of tobacco separation from cigarette wastes, in particular, to separation of cigarette filters and wrappings from tobacco that is to be further reused. The method for separation of tobacco from cigarette wastes implies usage of a device containing a circular rotary sieve wherein cigarette wastes are delivered onto the said sieve for sieving due to action of gravity force; the method envisages placement of cigarette wastes onto the sieve surface (promoted by the raking means interacting with the above sieve and the adjustable angular position of the sieve in the device relative to the horizontal planet; the raking means are designed in the form of low walls positioned, essentially, perpendicular to the sieve surface.
EFFECT: improvement of the device technical characteristics.
