FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: cigarette filter is proposed that is connected to one end of the tobacco rod, in which the cut tobacco is wrapped in cigarette paper, by tipping paper. The cigarette filter contains a filter material located on the filter tip; and wrapping paper that wraps the filter material so that it covers the outer circumferential surface of the filter material. The wrapping paper is painted on the side of its covering surface, which is covered with a filtering material; and the cigarette filter further comprises of a light-permeable portion formed on the filter tip within the cross-section of the filter from the covering surface of the wrapping paper and through which visible light can penetrate. The light-permeable portion emits light, reflected from the covering surface, comes out, so that the colour of the covering surface is visually recognizable.

EFFECT: possibility of recognizing the colour of the covering surface of the wrapping paper in the finished cigarette filter.
