SUBSTANCE: method involves using dosing feeder connected with machine for manufacture of tobacco articles comprising tangential shaft for sequential charging of accumulating shaft of dosing feeder; distributing tobacco flow caught from accumulating shaft and comprising portions having high content of short tobacco chips and portions having high content of long tobacco chips in substantially longitudinal direction the moment said tobacco flow gets onto intermediate conveyor of dosing feeder; converting longitudinal distribution of tobacco flow into transverse distribution by changing tobacco flow direction and speed. Toothed roll extending transverse to tobacco flow homogenizes said distribution and provides for uniform distribution between short and long chips in tobacco flow supplied for manufacture of tobacco cord. EFFECT: increased efficiency in forming tobacco flow uniform distribution of its components for manufacture of tobacco cord. 23 cl, 4 dwg
