FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: system includes a flow meter having a differential pressure sensor connected parallel to a Venturi tube to a pipeline, and a fraction meter with a double-peak energy source, each of which is functionally connected to a digital processor. In addition, the system includes a pump connected to the pipeline at the flow meter inlet, which injects at least one pulse portion of known amount of liquid, which is sufficient as to volume so that liquid phase can be increased for some time by the amount determined by the flow meter. After the liquid pulse portion is injected into the multiphase flow, the digital processor calculates changes in percentage composition of liquid and gaseous phases, which should have occurred as a result of injection of the pulse portion, and compares the calculated changes to actual changes so that the flow meter can be calibrated. Then, the measured increase in the liquid flow is deducted from full measured liquid flow to determine actual percentage of the liquid flow.
EFFECT: improving measurement accuracy of percentage composition of liquid and gaseous phases in a multiphase fluid, when one phase comprises a small part.
