FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: vibration flow meter (5) for determining one or more parameters of a multiphase flowing fluid has a flow meter assembly (10), having one or more tubes (103A, 103B) and an electronic measuring device (20) connected to the assembly (10). The flow meter assembly (10) is configured to generate a response with a very low frequency, which is lower than the given minimum separation frequency for the flowing fluid, and generating a response with a very high frequency, which is higher than the given maximum separation frequency for the flowing fluid, regardless of the size of foreign matter or composition of the foreign matter. The separation ratio (Ap/Af) is equal to about 1:1 for very low frequency and the separation ratio (Ap/Af) is equal to about 3:1 for the involved gas at very high frequency and approximately equal to 3/(1+(2*cp/cf)) for involved solid substances at very high frequency, wherein the separation ratio (Ap/Af) is the ratio of the amplitude Ap of particles to the amplitude Af of the tube. The electronic measuring device (20) is configured to receive one or more vibration responses with very low frequency and one or more vibration responses with very high frequency, and determine one or more parameters of flowing fluid from the one or more vibration responses with very low frequency and one or more vibration responses with very high frequency.

EFFECT: high accuracy and reliability of measuring flow rate of multiphase fluids.
