FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: residual capacitance determination for rechargeable lithium-ion cells is made by its impulsive loading by current, measuring voltage drop at its terminals and determining residual capacitance as per the preliminary plotted dependence of voltage drop on remaining capacitance. The method is featured by the fact that loading is made during 0.01-0.1 second by current that does not exceed maximum permitted current of continuous discharge per more than 5 times for this standard size of the accumulator and that is less than the permitted impulse current of load for this accumulator. Current of the accumulator operating load is controlled additionally and its impulsive loading by current is made at minimum value of the accumulator operating load current or in period of its idle operation. While implementing the method in conditions of permanent high operating load by current or in case of unavailability of idle operation periods within the whole cycle of its discharge the accumulator is disconnected from the operating load for the period of its impulsive loading by current and measuring voltage drop at its terminals.
EFFECT: providing possibility for determination of the accumulator residual capacitance for the rechargeable lithium-ion cells with the positive electrode based on lithium ferro phosphate, improving reliability of this determination method.
