FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing and can be used for determination of cutting capacity of abrasive-diamond tool with single-ply diamond electroplated coating (DEC). The tool is mounted at electron microscope table surface to define the number of diamond grains at preset area of DEC part by optical means. Thereafter percent concentration of diamonds is defined by cited relationship to evaluate the tool cutting capacity.
EFFECT: preservation of geometrical precision of tool working surface generatrix.
