SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the food industry, and namely to a clipping machine for production of products in the form of a sausage. The clipping machine (1) includes a packing tube (10) for supply of a filling material to a tubular packing cover (M) or a packing cover (M) in the form of packets, which is located on the packing tube (10) and is closed on the first end, a material collection device (30) for collection of the filled tubular packing cover (M) or the packing cover (M) in the form of packets and for formation of a section (P) in the form of corrugations. A device (20) for installation of clips has the first and the second closing tools (22, 24) that can be reversely moved between an open position and a closed position for installation of one closing device (C) per section (P) in the form of corrugations and closing of the above (C) closing device when closing tools (22, 24) are in the closed position. The device (20) for installation of clips includes a drive device (100) for actuation of the first closing tool (22). The above drive device (100) includes a crankshaft (110) having a journal (112) and a stock (140) having a central axis (146) for retention and linear movement of the first closing tool (22) between open and closed positions along its central axis (146). To the above stock (140) there attached is a guide (130; 230; 330), and to the journal (112) there hinged is a slide (120) that is engaged so that it can slide with the above guide (130; 230; 330) for movement of the above stock (140) along its central axis (146).

EFFECT: clipping machine has a simplified structure of a drive device.
