The method for changing the configuration of the clipper for the production of sausage-like products from the first clip setting mode to the second clip setting mode includes the following steps: providing data input to the clipper control unit indicating a change in the clipper configuration from the first clip setting mode to the second mode and changing the number of closing clips from the first number of closures associated with the first clip setting mode to the second number of closures associated with the second clip setting mode.
