FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: intracerebral growth is visualised by means of tomography, and two maximum remote points are localised on the border of the intracerebral growth on axial scans. Inclining from the axial to frontal scanning surface makes the surface pass through these points. The in-between distance A is measured. A plane of scanning is rotated about these points to locate the most remote points on the border of the intracerebral growth arranged in a line perpendicular to the axis. The distance B is measured between these points. A plane of scanning perpendicular to the axis is drawn through these points. A perpendicular to the line B connecting the points on the border of the intracerebral growth is located thereon. The in-between distance C is measured. The intracerebral growth volume V is calculated by formula: V=(A×B×C):2+5%.
EFFECT: method provides the high accurate determination of the intracerebral growth volume.
