FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, and namely to a method for obtaining cast-iron and reducing gas in a high pressure shaft furnace with a fireproof lining with the minimum use or without any use of coke. Iron ore and a slag-forming material are supplied to an upper working zone of the shaft furnace. At the same time, the reducing gas obtained in a gasifier with the fireproof lining using pre-heated oxygen is supplied through tuyeres to lower and middle working zones of the furnace.
EFFECT: high pressure is maintained in the furnace, which contributes to an increase of its efficiency and simplifies the use of exit reducing gas in further production processes.
