FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: liquid and gas scrubber comprises tower with crossflow trays, overflows equipped with detachable encapsulated cups. The encapsulated cups on each following tray are located with shift in staggered order relatively to the previous tray. Each cup has through round holes with diameters reducing from the cup base to the top with total free cross-section from 40% to 45%. Each cup has nozzle in form of rings out of knitted material including polyacrylic fiber with metal ions, with loop bulk modulus 110-120, and loop surface modulus 3-3.5, located at height of the encapsulated cup with clearance at least 1-3 of ring thickness relatively to each other, and to wall of the encapsulated cup and additional ring installed with tension on top of the encapsulated cup.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of heat-mass-exchange processes.
