SUBSTANCE: invention is related to energy recovery system in devices intended for cargo transfer such as elevators, cargo lifts and similar devices or for hosting arrangements such as cranes. Energy recovery system comprises a measuring tool to measure electric energy consumed each moment by the electric drive, an electric generator (G) designed to convert rotational electric energy of the output shaft (6m) to energy of the electric drive (M). The measuring tool starts the electric generator (G) when electric energy consumed by the electric drive (M) is less than the preset value and cuts the electric generator (G) off when electric energy consumed by the above drive (M) is more than the above preset value.

EFFECT: energy recovery is attained.
