FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for control of an elevator unit. During control of power distribution in the elevator system containing an elevator lifting motor (12), the main power source (20) and a system for power accumulation (32), a usage forecast model is determined which is at least partially based on the data on consumed power of a lifting electric motor (20). Target level of the system accumulation for power accumulation (32) is set based on the usage forecast model. Power exchange between the lifting electric motor (12), the main power source (20) and the system for power accumulation (32) is controlled to provide consumed power of the lifting motor (12) and maintain the level of accumulation of the system for power accumulation (32) approximately at the target level.
EFFECT: minimisation of need to dissipate regenerative power, increased lifetime of the power accumulation system.
