FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Risk of loss of support function of capsular sac of lens is reduced with application of femtolaser accompanying during removal of intraocular foreign body (IFB) through anterior chamber of eye. After performing anterior capsulorhexis with width of 4.5–5.0 mm, removal of lens substance by phacoemulsification or phacoaspiration, posterior capsulorhexis stage is carried out with the help of a femtosecond laser so that the laser-formed disk of posterior capsule of the lens has a rounded shape, smooth edges and a diameter which enables to bring IFB through the formed hole from the posterior segment of the eye into the anterior chamber, but not more than 5.0 mm.
EFFECT: method provides minimizing the risk of damaging the capsular sac of the lens, preserving the support function of the capsular sac for the subsequent IOL implantation.
