FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves radical abdominal cervicectomy. That is combined with an intraoperative radioisotope detection of sentinel lymphatic nodes (SLNs). If having no cytological and histological findings concerning the metastatic involvement of SLNs, a lymphodissection extent is limited by removing the SLNs.
EFFECT: lower risk of postoperative complications by reducing the lymphodissection extent without reducing surgical radicality.
