FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: flywheel accumulator comprises two flywheels each being provided with electrical machine. Said flywheels with electrical machines are arranged coaxially with their rotational axes and in symmetry about the axis perpendicular to their rotational axis. First flywheel and electric machine rotor feature total moment of inertia J1 relative to their common rotational axis equal to total moment of second flywheel inertia J2 and that of second electrical machine rotor relative to their common rotational axis. At charging flywheel accumulator by electrical machines, flywheels are revolved in opposite directions while first flywheel rpm f1 and that of second flywheel f2 are controlled to make f1=f2. In power takeoff from flywheels and at their deceleration, rpm is adjusted in a similar way. Proposed device the power of both flywheels is used at identical rate and can used, in fact, completely.
EFFECT: complete compensation for gyroscopic moment harmful to vehicle.
