FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes preliminary mechanical grinding of the analysed surface in circular movements, polishing said surface with fine-grained diamond paste with circular movements on a flat surface, finishing, cleaning and analysing the surface of the sample with an optical microscope in day light. The analysed surface is ground with coarse-grained graphite deposited on a fibre-free surface of a used abrasive cloth with a paper base. The surface is then polished using the fibre-free surface of a used abrasive cloth with a paper base, while applying pressure on the cloth which enables to rid of visible marks on the polished surface. The specimen is then polished, without touching a counter-body, using fine-grained diamond paste, which is deposited on the surface of the specimen or on the surface of a counter-body in a thin layer which provides the effect of rolling the paste between surfaces in contact during circular movement of the counter-body or the specimen relative to each other in contact with the layer of diamond paste. Circular movements of the counter-body or the specimen periodically change direction and polishing is carried out until structural components of the composition are exposed and no marks are visible. The diamond paste is then removed from the surface of the sample by circular movements of the tips of de-oiled fingers and the structure of the components of the composition is analysed first in a light field and then with oblique light.
EFFECT: invention broadens functional capabilities of the method by preserving the morphology of components of the composition and improving the quality of treatment and analysis of the surface of a specimen.
