FIELD: mechanical engineering; finishing of inner surfaces of revolution.
SUBSTANCE: blank and diamond abrasive wheel are set in rotary motion; feed is moved along surface being treated and cross feed is performed automatically due to elasticity of wheel. Wheel consists of fabric porous envelope secured on elastic porous base and diamond abrasive cutting layer made from two-sided emery cloth secured on envelope. Lubricant-and-coolant medium is fed through pores of wheel. Use is made of mandrel having central axial hole connected with radial holes; it is provided with spacer bush defining height of wheel. Said bush has radial holes coinciding with radial holes of mandrel. End faces of wheel are provided with washers.
EFFECT: increased productivity; improved quality of treatment; extended functional capabilities due to treatment of out-of-round holes.
