FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of tightness testing of pressurised pipelines and may be used to detect a leak in a fuel supply system. Substance: a leak detection system for a fuel supply system includes a fuel manifold (38), a pressure sensor (24) connected to the fuel manifold (38), and a controller (18), connected to the pressure sensor (24). Besides, the controller (18) is configured to perform several leak tests in the fuel manifold (38) in intervals between periods of fuel supply on the basis of output data of the pressure sensor (24). At the same time each appropriate leak test produces data of this test used by the controller (18) for detection of characteristic of leak speed in the fuel manifold (38) within the appropriate interval of testing. At the same time the controller (18) detects a leak in the fuel manifold (38) on the basis of leak speed characteristics at least for some quantity of leak tests. At the same time the first leak test of the specified part of tests is carried out before the first event of fuel supply, and the second leak test of the specified part happens after the first fuel supply event.

EFFECT: increased reliability of leak detection.
