FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to handling operations, particularly, to loading of cars and conveyors with dusty materials and can be used in mining, chemical and food industries at storage, transportation and handling of dusty materials and aims at decreasing the dust escape. The proposed dust-killer hopper comprises a bearing frame composed of supports, a roof secured in a cantilever above the said hopper on the supports, an inlet splitter arranged across the material fed in the said hopper for further transfer over a conveyor or by cars. The said hopper is provided with sprayers arranged at its side and top walls while the inlet splitter is composed of resilient shutters arranged at a minimum spacing. Note here that the length of every next shutter when moving from the inlet portal, increases uniformly relative to previous one to cover the transferred material as the loader bucket or body approaches the hopper portal.
EFFECT: ruled out dusting of loose rock, minimised damages of equipment owing to resilient shutters.
