SUBSTANCE: capsule for preparation of the preset quantity of beverage suitable consumption with the use of an extractable product with the help of a beverage preparation device containing a receptacle for accommodation of the capsule; the capsule contains a bowl, a surrounding wall, a bottom closing the surrounding wall at the first end and a cover that, in the course of usage, is connected to the bowl at the second end of the surrounding wall that is opposed to the bottom. The wall, bottom and cover enclose the inner space containing the product being extracted. At least the section of the capsule surface intended for usage, during interaction with the receptacle, has at least one projection for formation of sealing engagement with the receptacle representing a texturised material containing a modulated surface including an array of indentations and elevations spaced at regular intervals. The height difference of the indentations and the elevations is at least 0.05 mm, preferably - 0.15 mm.

EFFECT: invention provides for improved engagement between the capsule and the receptacle to prevent leakage.
