SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control over the gearbox. In the method of the gearbox control a vehicle is incorporated with an ICE engaged with the gearbox. The vehicle speed is defined when the vehicle runs at low gear and at a speed lower than that when the horizontal section of the curve of the moment for the said low gear is reached at the lower demand in power. The gearbox is shifted to higher gear than the said low gear when the said speed parameter satisfies the first criterion. The gearbox control system comprises the vehicle speed parameter determination device and the gearbox gear shifting device to throw in higher gear than the said low gear when the said speed parameter satisfies the first criterion. Besides, the invention relates to a vehicle incorporating the abode described system.
