FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to photovoltaic generators. Disclosed is a method of controlling a photovoltaic generator, comprising at least one photovoltaic cell and a plurality of n static converters connected in parallel, each converter being electrically connected to at least one photovoltaic cell, which includes steps of determining power generated by the said at least one photovoltaic cell and comparing the said power with peak power; comparing with threshold values P1, P2,…, Pn-1; wherein the thresholds are defined as power values substantially at the point of intersection of the performance curves for an increasing number of converters for at least one photovoltaic cell; connecting i converters if the measured power value is within the range of Pi-1 or Pi, or connecting all the converters if the measured power value exceeds Pn-1.
EFFECT: high conversion efficiency of the generator.
