SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive control methods and systems for regenerating particulate filters in diesel engines based on information from vehicle networks. Disclosed are methods and systems for adaptive regeneration of particulate filters in diesel engines based on information of cloud network on traffic and navigation information. In one of the examples, in order to reduce fuel overexpenditure for regeneration, the method may include determination of regeneration start (318), regeneration end (322) and regeneration degree (316) based on information from the network ahead of driving vehicles and navigation information (308).
EFFECT: technical result is improved regeneration of particulate filters, higher fuel economy.
