SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of sewing materials science, in particular, to the method of examination of deformation processes in protective structures of clothes under action of an aerodynamic load. The method to determine aerodynamic deformation of the protective structures of clothes consists in the fact that bulk elastic protective structures of clothes are represented by a model of a cylinder and are placed into a subsonic aerodynamic pipe with a low-turbulence flow of air and a working area made of a transparent material. Deformation of the bulk elastic protective structures of clothes that takes place under an impact of the air flow is fixed in the working area of the aerodynamic pipe with the help of digital photography, with the subsequent processing of results using software.

EFFECT: invention will make it possible to provide for the examination of aerodynamic deformation of the protective structure of clothes under laboratory conditions and forecasting of the thermal state of a human being in real conditions on the basis of produced experimental data, to reduce the cost during tests, to shorten the time of tests performance, to increase the accuracy of experimental results.
