SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to light industry, in particular to determining mechanical properties of sewing materials and connections of clothing details (thread, weld, glue, and other joints and seams). The method for mechanical testing of sewing materials and connections consists in the fact that when loading the material sample attached on the unit through the volume working body in the form of a hemispherical punch, on the recording means in the form of oscillograph the electrical signals are received from tensometers connected through the elastic elements to the test sample, reflecting the acting forces on the parts of the test sample on axes 0X, 0Y, 0Z, on which the multiaxial deformation of the material sample is determined, then, knowing the dimension parameters of the material sample desired stresses are determined, acting on these parts of the sample, and the desired stresses on the material sample are determined in dynamics under continuous process of wear with its cyclic load, by comparing the stress in the material sample in the beginning of the test cycle, and in the end the effects of wear on the mechanical properties of the test material are determined, and when using the mode of wet-heat treatment before loading into the zone of deformation of the sample of the sewing material the steam is passed through holes over the whole working surface of the punch. Also the device for implementing the said method is described.

EFFECT: increase in the reliability of determining and quality of sewing materials is achieved.
