SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of a metal strip (1) by continuous casting and rolling, in which a slab (3) is cast in the casting machine (2) first by casting a metal from the mould (4). The slab (3) in the area of the guide wire (5) deviates from the vertical position to the horizontal position, then undergoes an endurance to equalize the temperature in the furnace (6), after the furnace (6) it is rolled in the rolling mill (7) and, depending on the set operating mode, either in the periodic or in the infinite or semi-infinite mode. According to the invention, it is provided that the rolled slab (3) or the rolled metal strip (1) in the rolling mill zone (7) is heated by an inductor at least between two rolling stands (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14) (15) in the form of at least one open divided C-shaped inductor configured to generate induction of a longitudinal or transverse field.
EFFECT: creation of optimum technological conditions for all necessary operating modes.
