FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: training is conducted at simulation models of the protected facility. Input values of the protection are converted into a bidimensional signal displayed in the plane. The learning bidimensional signals define an area of the protection actuation. It is suggested to assign a feature as in series limiting bidimensional signals covering an area of the protection actuation. The invention specifies the operations for setting conditions of the protection actuation when the actuation feature is of digital form, i.e. it consists of individual points in the plane. The current bidimensional signal coming from the real facility is compared with four types of the limiting signals in the plane, which are located higher, lower, to the right or to the left from the current signal. Modifications of the actuation conditions are specified in the dependent claims. The first modification is limited only by one limiting signal out of four types; the second modification is limited by two signals, i.e. by four pairs of signals and each pair sets its actuation setting in its direction.
EFFECT: increasing sensitivity of the protection by consideration of all peculiarities for the actuation area.
