FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural engineering. The machine for harvesting corn comprises a support structure bearing a plurality of transversely mounted harvesting units. Each harvesting unit comprises a frame structure, two ripping plates and a pair of counter-rotating pressure rollers. The frame structure is fixed relative to the support structure and comprises two box-shaped sections mounted at a distance from each other in the transverse direction. The ripping plates are located on the respective box-shaped sections and have mutually facing edges forming a compressing channel. Under the compressing channel a pair of counter-rotating pressure rollers is located. The ripping plates are made with the ability to move in the vertical direction relative to the box-shaped sections. The ripping plates are connected to the respective spring devices, which elastically push the plates towards the upper position. Each spring device comprises a fixed element, a movable element and a spring located between them.
EFFECT: machine for harvesting corn provides reduction in losses of corn grains.
