FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to methods for determining of an electric signal autocorrelation function. The controlled temporary variable interval of the autocorrelation function that includes the autocorrelation function is broken into minor resolution elements, numbers from -K up to K are assigned to the resolution elements, where K is a number of the resolution elements at positive and negative sections of the temporary variable axis, for each resolution element a weight function wk(ω)=θe-jωkθ is formed, where k is the number of a resolution element, ω is circular frequency, j is a complex unit, the fixed setting is made for frequencies convenient for measurement of power spectral density, a weight matrix W is formed from weight functions at the preset frequency setting, values of power spectral density are the measures at these frequencies and united into the vector of measurements
EFFECT: expansion of the class of analysed signals into high frequency and composite signals with rapid changing spectral density as well as elimination of the autocorrelation frequency distortion due to the limited band of the analysed frequencies of the instrument measuring power spectral density.
