FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing N-aryl-1,5,3-dithiazonanes, which includes reacting N,N-bis(methoxymethyl)-N-aryl(phenyl, m-toluidine, m-anisidine, p-chlorophenyl, p-bromophenyl)amines with 1,4-butanedithiol in the presence of a samarium nitrate crystalline hydrate catalyst supported on γ-aluminium oxide (Sm(NO3)3·6H2O/γ-Al2O3), taken in ratio of N,N-bis(methoxymethyl)-N-aryl(phenyl, m-toluidine, m-anisidine, p-chlorophenyl, p-bromophenyl)amine (mmol):1,4-butanedithiol (mmol):Sm(NO3)3·6H2O/γ-Al2O3 (wt %) = 1:1:0.05, at room temperature (about 20°C) and atmospheric pressure in acetic ether as a solvent for 4-6 hours. Output of the corresponding N-phenyl-1,5,3-dithiazonanes of general formula (1) is 76-97%. Compounds can be used as biologically active compounds, selective sorbents and extractants of noble and precious metals.
