METHOD OF EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF INTRAUTERINE EMBRYO-FOETAL GROWTH RESTRICTION IN COWS Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B8/00 

FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: at early stages of gestation the ultrasound scanning of embryo or foetus in cows is performed, based on the results of which the foeto-metric indicators of the embryo and foetus are determined. In case of detection on the 38-40 days of gestation of the length of the embryo within 12-16 mm and diameter of the body of 7-9 mm, the embryo growth restriction syndrome in cows is diagnosed. In the case of detection on the 60-65 days of the length of the foetus within 25-45 mm and diameter of the body of 12-16 mm, the foetal growth restriction syndrome in cows is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method enables to diagnose at the early stages of gestation the syndrome of intrauterine embryo-foetal growth restriction syndrome in cows to prevent intrauterine death of the embryo, antenatal small-for-date foetus, intra- and neonatal diseases in the foetus and new-born calves, delivery and postnatal pathology in cows-mothers due to the use of ultrasound scanning.
