FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for manufacturing thermally stable soundproof composite materials, sorbents for purification of gaseous, liquid media, including wastes of industrial enterprises from organic and inorganic substances; in production of carbon fibre reinforced plastics; antifriction, lubricating materials; in production of composite materials for electrotechnical, nuclear, machine-building, chemical, construction industries. Method consists in obtaining inorganic fibrous material, including processing aluminium, iron, zinc, copper chlorides with 20-40% water solution, mixing it with water dispersion, containing 20-30% of montmorillonite and 10-12% of polyvinyl alcohol, dispersion for 20-40 min until polydisperse particles with size 0.08-600 mcm are obtained, preparation of water-fibrous moulding mass, moulding and drainage of fibrous material in foamglass moulds in form of plates with dimensions100×100×5 mm, drying and burning without access of air at temperature 1100-1500°C for 30-40 min and cooling. As fibres used are natural, artificial, chemical fibres of inorganic origin, for instance, silica, glass, polycrystalline based on aluminium oxide. Drying of fibrous material is realised at temperature 120-280°C for 20-30 min, with cooling to temperature 20-22°C.

EFFECT: increase of flexural strength and density of fibrous material, increased value of its specific surface.
