FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry. The method involves the patient's imaging examination followed by determining the dental arch stability to a splinting procedure. An imaging section with the maximum half-sum of a projected area of intra-alveolar parts of counter-lateral molars is localised. That is combined with an estimated pre-fragmentation projected area of the dental arch support and an estimated post-fragmentation projected area of the greatest fragment of the dental arch. If the latter is 50% and less of the estimated pre-fragmentation projected area of the dental arch support, a removable splinting is required, while the derived value of more than 50% is followed by a fixed splinting.
EFFECT: method provides the higher quality of splinting ensured by the qualitative estimation of the dental arch support area.
